A simple, repeatable playbook to set a goal, share it with your audience, and actually hit it.
Most creators overthink their first campaign. They wait for the perfect moment, the perfect graphic, the perfect milestone. Meanwhile, the people who actually want to support them are scrolling past and forgetting. This playbook is the version we wish someone had handed us on day one.
1. Pick one specific goal
Vague campaigns die quietly. Specific ones get shared. Instead of "support my work," try "help me buy the mic that finally makes my podcast sound good" or "fund the trip so I can film the next series on location." People tip stories, not vibes.
2. Set a number you actually believe
Your first goal should feel achievable in a week with the audience you have today. If you have 500 engaged followers, aim for £150–£300, not £5,000. Hitting a small goal builds the muscle (and the social proof) for the next one.
3. Build the page in 10 minutes
- One sentence on what you're raising for
- One sentence on why it matters to your audience
- Three suggested tip amounts (small / medium / generous)
- A photo or short clip — faces and movement beat logos
4. Announce it three times, three ways
One post is an event nobody attended. Plan a launch post, a midweek update with a tipper shoutout, and a final push when you're close to the goal. Each one tells a different chapter of the same story.
5. Thank loudly, then ship
When you hit the goal, post the receipt. The mic, the plane ticket, the new setup. Closing the loop is what turns a one-off campaign into a habit your audience expects — and supports — again next time.
